Logan Square Walks becomes Break The Gridlock Member Organization

Logan Square Walks, after a period of relative dormancy, has elected to become a member organization of Break The Gridlock, an organization dedicated to promoting appropriate transportation in Chicago.  Logan Square Walks can now profit from being part of the larger organizational effort.  This move will not in any way change Logan Square Walks primary mission of Promoting Pedestrian Safety, Access, Awareness, and Community in Logan Square and beyond.

Walk Winter Press Release

Snow and ice on sidewalks makes it difficult, even dangerous, to get around in the winter. This goes double for seniors and children whose mobility can be hit hard by un-cleared sidewalks. Help us to keep Chicago walking year-round by remembering to shovel the sidewalk in front of your house. And while you're at it, why not help your neighbor with theirs, too?

Then stay for our official Paseo Prairie Garden ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6pm! A few words of dedication, thanks to our sponsors, live music from Tangleweed, John Greenfield, and perhaps others, and a chance to stop and smell the flowers with your families, friends, and neighbors. We’d love to see you there!
